MINUTES
I. President Jim Pinkston called the meeting to order at 7:12 p.m.
Members present: Jim Pinkston, Walter Fisher, Rick Kreitner, Lawrence Netterville, Ron Cross, Jerry Cole, Darryl Ivy, Joe Bayne, Herman Allums and Johnny Tibbs.
II. Minutes from last meeting
The minutes from the July 13, 2007, meeting were read aloud by Mr. Pinkston. Mr. Cross made a motion to accept the minutes as read. Mr. Netterville seconded the motion. The motion passed.
III. Report of Officers
A. President - No report
B. Vice President - No report
C. Treasurer Report - Assistant Treasurer Netterville gave the following report: Beginning balance = $7865.42. Income = $598.00. Expenses = $748.50. Ending balance = $7714.92. Mr. Cross made a motion to accept the report. Mr. Ivy seconded. Motion passed.
D. Secretary¢s Report - No report
E. Parliamentarian¢s Report - No report
IV. Committees Reports
Executive Committee - No report.
Fundraising Committee - No report
Membership Committee - No report.
Tournament/Programs Committee - Mr. Cross reported that the Club Championship was scheduled for August 25-26. Picnic on Saturday, Dinner on Sunday. Regular tee times.
Mr. Netterville reported on the preparations for the Junior Tournament to be held on August 11th at Triple A Golf Course in Forest Park.
Rules Committee - No report.
Budget Committee - No report.
V. Unfinished Business

VI. New Business
Mr. Netterville raised the issue of looking into registering our club logo as a trademark. After much discussion, Mr. Netterville made a motion to get our logo trademark protected. Mr. Cross seconded. Motion passed.
Mr. Cole made a motion to limit the expense of the trademark registration to $600.00. Mr. Netterville seconded. Motion passed.
Mr. Netterville raised the issue of a Budweiser sign with the club name on it hanging on the railing at Grand Marais Golf Course. After much discussion, Mr. Netterville made a motion to ask the management of Grand Marais to take the sign down. Mr. Allums seconded. Motion failed.
Next Regular Meeting - The next regular club meeting was set for Wednesday, Sept. 95 at 275 N. Union, 7:00 p.m.
